Abstract

A tanulmány a francia Nemzeti Tudományos Kutatási Központ (CNRS) teljesítményét vizsgálja az Európai Kutatási Tanács (ERC) támogatásainak megszerzésében. ERC-és Scopus-adatbázisból származó adatok alapján dolgoztunk a 2019–2023-as és a 2007–2023-as időszakra vonatkozóan. Az eredmények azt mutatják, hogy a CNRS az ERC-támogatások terén magas sikerességi rátával rendelkezik, különösen a természet- és műszaki tudományok kategóriában, és más kiemelkedő európai kutatóintézeteknél is jobban teljesít. Emellett a CNRS központosított és kooperatív rendszere jelentősen hozzájárul ahhoz, hogy kutatói sikerrel pályázzanak rangos ERC-támogatásokra. A tanulmány kiemeli, hogy a CNRS stratégiai szempontból különösen fontos szerepet játszik a fiatal tehetségek felkarolásában és a magas színvonalú kutatás támogatásában a kutatói karrier minden szakaszában. | The study examines the performance of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in securing European Research Council (ERC) grants. The methodology involved analysing ERC winner data from the Scopus database for the periods 2019–2023 and 2007–2023. The results indicate that CNRS has a high success rate in ERC grants, particularly in the Physical and Engineering Sciences category, and outperforms other prominent European research institutions. Additionally, CNRS’s centralized and cooperative approach significantly contributes to its researchers’ success in securing prestigious ERC grants. The study underscores the importance of CNRS’s strategic focus on fostering young talent and supporting high-quality research across career stages.
