Abstract
The article explores the situation of the Ladin regional community in Italy’s Trentino-Alto Adige region. Trento and Bolzano Autonomous Provinces constitute this region; in the former Ladins are only one out of many minorities, while in the latter Ladins are a minority within a minority thanks to the fact that the German-speaking population gives the majority of the population of the province. The article aims at finding out if this situation has a positive or a negative effect.
