Abstract

Az utóbbi esztendők kutatásainak köszönhetően számos új információ került napvilágra az erdélyi örménység 1668‒1672 közötti betelepüléséről, az egyházi uniójáról, valamint a közösség 18. század első felére vonatkozó konfesszionális helyzetéről. Ennek ellenére még számos feltáratlan fehér folt létezik az erdélyi örménykatolikus egyház múltjának vizsgálatában. Erre az időszakra vonatkozóan ráadásul modern, tudományos szakirodalom sem áll rendelkezésre, különösen az 1760-as évek történéseit illetően. Jelen munkánkban ezért a közelmúltban feltárt levéltári források segítségével mutatjuk be az erdélyi örménykatolikus egyház korabeli viszontagságait. | Due to the research of recent years, a lot of new information has come to light about the settlement of the Transylvanian Armenians in Transylvania in 1668– 1672, their church-union, and the confessional situation of the community in the first half of the 18th century. Nevertheless, there are still many undiscovered areas in the study of the past of the Armenian Catholic Church in Transylvania, and, furthermore, this statement is especially true for the second half of the 18th century, too. What is more, there is no modern scientific secondary literature available for this period. This scientific view has proven to be especially true for the events of the 1760s. For this reason, in this study, my article has attempted to present the vicissitudes of the Armenian Catholic (Uniate) Church in Transylvania with the help of recently discovered archival sources being kept in foreign countries.
