Abstract

A tanulmányom egy képzeletbeli disputát taglal Luther és Kopernikusz között. A vita fizikailag nem, csak áttételes értelemben történt meg – ugyanakkor igen tanulságos e wittenberg–fromborki vita. A szerző elsőként a két újító közötti összhangot mutatja fel, tömören ismertetve a földközéppontú (ptolemaioszi) rendszert. Utána azt keresi, miért állnak mégis szemben egymással, miközben ismerteti konkrét véleményüket. Végül Józs 10,12–15 magyarázati lehetőségeit mutatja fel, kitérve azoknak a geocentrikus, illetve heliocentrikus szemlélettel való összefüggéseire. A szerző tudomány és írásértelmezés viszonyára vonatkozó rövid konklúzióval zárja cikkét. In this study, the author discusses an imaginary dispute between Luther and Copernicus. This debate did not take place physically, only conceptually – but the dispute between Wittenberg and Frombork is most instructive. First, the author shows the harmony between the two innovators, succinctly describing the geocentric (Ptolemaic) system. Then he asks why they are still opposed to each other, while presenting their specific opinions. Finally, the author presents the explanatory possibilities of Jos 10:12-15, discussing their connection with the geocentric and heliocentric view. The paper ends with a brief conclusion on the relationship between science and the interpretation of Scripture.
