Abstract

A Gilányi Gabriella által liturgia- és zenetörténeti megközelítésben bemutatott kódextöredékek könyvkötésként maradtak fenn az évszázadok során. Ezért a fragmentumok történetét az őrzőkönyvükkel együtt érdemes vizsgálni: az egykori kódexből kivágott és kötésként felhasznált, majd az eltérő utat bejáró levelek és az őrzőkönyveik történetének feltárása is jelentős mértékben hozzájárul a fragmentumok eredetének és használatának jobb megismeréséhez. A korábban ismert négy töredéket 2019-ben sikerült egy további levéllel bővítenem. A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Könyvtár és Információs Központ Kézirattárának Töredékgyűjteményébe az őrzőkönyvtől elválasztott egész könyvkötést őrizték, amelynek a restaurálása után a fragmentumot teljeskörű vizsgálat alá vonhattuk az előkerült értékes makulatúrákkal együtt. Az említett négy töredék azonosítása, feltárása megtörtént, ezért a tanulmányban elsősorban az újonnan felfedezett töredéket tárgyalom részletesen, és ennek az eredményét vetem össze a már ismert töredékekkel. | In 2019, I identified the fifth fragment of a former Transylvanian antiphonal in the Department of Manuscripts of the Library and Information Centre of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The codex was probably copied in Kolozsvár (today Cluj) in the 15th century, its fragments were discovered in Budapest and Cluj. The newly discovered leaf has been preserved as a bookbinding of an 18th-century manuscript written by Daniel Cornides. The fragment contains two responsories sung at Matins on Palm Sunday. These chants are analysed and published in this volume by Gabriella Gilányi. The host volume of the fragment and the frag-ments of printed books used as cardboards of the binding are presented by me. The host volume contains a history of Transylvania written by Cornides. This manuscript is kept in the Department of Manuscripts of the Library. Originally, however, the bookbinding was not made for this manuscript, but for an unknown volume as confirmed by traces of a title on the spine of the bookbinding: Dialog [...]. The cardboards were made of fragments of four printed books published in Heltai’s workshop in Kolozsvár between 1559 and 1586. Thus, the fragments of printed books and of the antiphonal were used as covers and cardboards of bookbindings in Heltai’s workshop. Similarly, another host volume kept in Budapest preserved a leaf of the antiphonal as its cover and some fragments of printed books made by Heltai as cardboards. Therefore, most of the fragments of the 15th-century antiphonal may have been used to cover books in the workshop of Heltai. One of the fragments might have been bought in the same workshop and used as wrapper of a protocol which was copied by a notary who belonged to the Kolozsmonostor convent.
