Abstract
Introduction: We present our proposal for the upcoming conference, entitled "8 Strategies for the New Millennium". As we stand on the brink of an era defined by rapid technological advancements, global shifts, and unprecedented environmental challenges, our presentation aims to share 8 intentional strategies that prioritize shared responsibility and accountability over the current emphasis on innovation and disruption. Remedial Design Strategies: Recognizing the limitations of an exclusive focus on technological innovation, our proposed eight strategies advocate a design methodology embracing natural systems and temporalities that extend from immediate concerns to geological timescales. Simultaneously, these strategies consider ethnographic time and social practices, emphasizing communal well-being. Significance of Research: Backed by extensive research and analysis, our insights promise to significantly contribute to the conference theme, offering a nuanced perspective on navigating the contemporary landscape. Objective: Our primary objective is to provide an actionable blueprint for individuals and organizations to positively contribute to the evolving design landscape of the new millennium. Focused on eight strategic pillars encapsulating responsibility, adaptability, and agency, our presentation aims to equip participants with insightful tools for shaping a collective future.
