Abstract

Ez az áttekintés a tej és a tejtermékek mikotoxin-szennyezettségével kapcsolatos európai publikációkat vizsgálja, a 2010 és 2025 között közzétett tanulmányokra fókuszálva. A keresési kritériumok között szerepelt a teljes szövegű cikk elérhetősége, az eredeti kutatási tanulmány, a vizsgált termék típusának egyértelmű meghatározása, az angol nyelv és az európai országokra történő összpontosítás. Összehasonlítottuk a Google Scholar, a PubMed, a Science Direct és a Web of Science adatbázisok találatait. A kritériumoknak megfelelő cikkek aránya országonként eltérő volt. A bibliometriai elemzés kiemelte Olaszország vezető szerepét az aflatoxin M1 (AFM1) kutatásában, Törökország és Spanyolország közreműködésével. Az aflatoxin M1 mellett elemeztük a Fusarium mikotoxinok, az ochratoxin A és a feltörekvő mikotoxinok kutatását is. A jövőbeli kutatásoknak foglalkozniuk kell az élelmiszerekben egyszerre jelen lévő mikotoxinok hatásaival. | This review examined European publications on mycotoxin contamination of milk and dairy products, focusing on studies published between 2010 and 2025. The search criteria included the availability of a full-text article, original research studies, a clear definition of the type of product under study, writing in English, and a focus on European countries. We compared the results of Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, and Web of Science databases. The proportion of articles in the PubMed database that met the above criteria varied by country, e.g., in Italy (61%), Spain (46%), Turkey (60%), and Portugal (43%). Larger and more research-intensive countries show balanced and high levels of engagement across all platforms. In contrast, smaller or less research-driven countries have shown lower and more inconsistent appearance patterns. Italy stands out significantly, concentrating the highest search score on Web of Science, which accounts for nearly 60% of the database. This indicates that the Italian research community prefers peer-reviewed, indexed publications. Similarly, France also showed a balanced, prominent presence on all four platforms, with a high focus on PubMed and Google Scholar. Dairy products dominate the research, especially in Pub-Med (46.53%), indicating widespread attention. Cheese and butter products also have a remarkable literature, especially in the Web of Science (~24%). The bibliometric analysis highlighted Italy’s leading role in the research of aflatoxin M1 (AFM1), with the participation of Turkey and Spain. In addition to aflatoxin M1, we also analysed the research of Fusarium mycotoxins, ochratoxin A, and emerging mycotoxins. An examination of publications on feed contamination highlighted that each sample was contaminated with at least two mycotoxins, including fumonisins, zearalenone, and ochratoxin A. Future research should address the effects of multiple mycotoxins in foods.
