Abstract
Since the amendment of the Election Law in 2020, the national minority councils – the bodies of cultural autonomy of nationalities in Serbia – have been able to give their opinions on the electoral lists of national minorities running in the general elections, at the request of the Republic Electoral Commission. The paper seeks to answer the question of whether this expansion of the authorizations of national self-governments contributed to the success of the fight against ethnobusiness in the Serbian parliamentary elections, in light of relevant legislation, court and administrative practice.
