Abstract

A dualizmus korában Magyarországon számos modernizációs folyamat zajlott. Ezek köztvolt a mezőgazdasági modernizációja, a modern agrárszakképzés kialakulása és a modernnépoktatási rendszer létrejötte. Ezekben a folyamatokban fontos közös szereplők voltak anéptanítók. A tanulmány a modernizációs folyamatok és a néptanítóság helyzetének vázlatos bemutatása után a méhészeti vándortanítóság dualizmus-kori történetének néhányrészletét mutatja be. Az intézmény kialakulása a méhészeti egyesületek tevékenységébengyökerezett, létrehozásukról az agrártárca 1882-es rendelete intézkedett. A vándortanítókállami alkalmazottak voltak, feladataik közé tartozott a méhészettel kapcsolatos adminisztrációmellett a méhészeti szakismeretek terjesztése. Ezért tevékenységük értelmezhető egyfajta nonformális szakképzésként. | During the late 19th century, Hungary witnessed several modernisation processes. Among these were the modernisation of agriculture, the development of modern agricultural vocational training and the establishment of a modern national education system. In these processes, elementary teachers were important common actors. After giving a brief outline of the modernisation processes and the situation of elementary education, the paper presents the history of travelling beekeeping teachers in the late 19th century. The institution’s ori-gins are rooted in the activities of beekeeping associations, and its creation was ordered by a decree of the Minister of Agriculture in 1882. Travelling beekeepers were state employees whose duties included the administration of beekeeping and the dissemination of beekeeping knowledge. Their activities can therefore be interpreted as a type of non-formal vocational training.
