Abstract

Ez az esszé a Budapesti Corvinus Egyetemen (BCE) bő egy évtizede folyó átalakulások értékelésére törekszik egy részt vevő megfigyelő szemszögéből. Tézismondata az, hogy miközben ennek az átalakításnak is számos, többnyire egymással ellentmondásban álló célja volt, az alapvető küldetést, az oktatás és a kutatás alávetését egyértelműen elérte a kísérlet. Más, gyakran hangoztatott értékek és törekvések részben ugyan megvalósultak, de legfeljebb e fő célnak alárendelten. = This essay attempts to evaluate the transformations that have been taking place at Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB) for over a decade from the perspective of a participant observer. Its thesis is that while this transformation had numerous – and mostly contradictory – goals, the experiment clearly achieved its fundamental mission of subordinating education and research. Other, often-voiced values and aspirations were partially realized, but only insofar as they were subordinate to this main goal.
