Abstract

A tanulmány a II. András magyar király (1205–1235) által 1222-ben kiadott Aranybulla létrejöttének körülményeit tárja fel. A törvény kiadására 1222 áprilisának közepén került sor annak érdekében, hogy megoldja azt a politikai válságot, melyet a királlyal és politikájával szembeforduló előkelők egy szűk csoportja támasztott, élvezve II. András legidősebb fia, Béla herceg – a későbbi IV. Béla király (1235–1270) – támogatását. A tanulmány végezetül bemutatja, miként lett úrrá II. András a válságon 1222 őszére. = This paper reveals the circumstances under which the Golden Bull of 1222 was issued by Andrew II, King of Hungary (1205–1235). The decree was published in the middle of April 1222 in order to solve the political crisis stirred up by a small circle of notabilities who turned against the king and his policy. They were supported by Béla, the eldest son of the king – later to become Béla IV of Hungary (1235–1270). Ultimately, the study also discloses how Andrew II overcame the crisis by the autumn of 1222.
