Abstract

2022. február 24-én nemcsak a kárpátaljai magyarok élete, hanem a nyelvhasználatuk is örökre megváltozott. Az országban a 2013 novemberében kezdődő Euromajdan tüntetéssorozat eredményeként egyre jobban érlelődött az oroszellenes közhangulat, ami egy véres háborúban csúcsosodott ki. A már több mint három éve tartó harcok következtében számos változás történt az ukrajnai lakosság mindennapi életében, amelyekre az emberek nyelvhasználata is reflektált. Új kifejezések terjedtek el egyik napról a másikra a köznyelvben, és a korábban orosz intézményneveket lecserélték ukrán nyelvűekre. A társadalmi, politikai, oktatási és gazdasági változások hatására a kárpátaljai magyarok szókincse is több tucat olyan szláv kölcsönszóval gyarapodott, amelyek korábban nem voltak megfigyelhetők, vagy éppen a meglévő kölcsönszavak jelentése bővült ki a háborús helyzet következtében. A Termini magyar–magyar szótár és adatbázis egy hatékony eszköz a határon túli magyar nyelvváltozatok vizsgálata céljából. Tanulmányunkban a Termini-szótárban fellelhető, az orosz–ukrán háborúhoz közvetlenül kapcsolódó szláv kölcsönszavakat mutatjuk be és rendszerezzük időbelileg és szemantikailag egyaránt, ezzel rámutatva arra, hogy a kárpátaljai magyar kisebbség szókincse hogyan változik az Ukrajnában uralkodó politikai és társadalmi helyzet következtében, valamint hogyan növekszik az ukrán nyelv szerepe a kárpátaljai magyar nyelvváltozatban előforduló szláv kölcsönszavak elsődleges átadó nyelveként. | On February 24, 2022, not only the lives of Transcarpathian Hungarians but also their language use changed forever. Following the Euromaidan demonstrations that began in November 2013, an increasingly strong anti-Russian public atmosphere emerged, eventually culminating in a bloody war. As a result of the fighting, which has now been going on for more than three years, many changes have taken place in the everyday life of Ukraine’s population, and these have also been reflected in language use. New expressions spread overnight in common speech, while previously Russian-language institutional names were replaced with Ukrainian ones. Due to social, political, educational and economic changes, the vocabulary of Transcarpathian Hungarians has been enriched with dozens of new Slavic loanwords that had not been observed before, or existing loanwords have undergone semantic expansion as a consequence of the wartime context. The Termini Online Hungarian Dictionary and Database is an effective tool for examining cross-border Hungarian language variants. In the present study, the Slavic loanwords recorded in the Termini Dictionary that are directly related to the Russo–Ukrainian war are presented and organised both chronologically and semantically. This analysis highlights how the vocabulary of the Hungarian minority living in Transcarpathia has changed as a result of Ukraine’s political and social situation and how the role of the Ukrainian language is increasing as the primary source of Slavic loanwords in the Transcarpathian variety of Hungarian.
