Abstract

Először is szeretnék köszönetet mondani Rácz Attilának, dr. Balázs L. Györgynek, Farkas Györgynek és a kuratórium minden tagjának ezért a megtisztelő elismerésért. Ezen kívül külön öröm volt számomra, hogy ebből az alkalomból megismerhettem ifj. Palotás László professzor urat, akitől ezt a nívós szakmai elismerést fizikailag is átvehettem, neki is köszönöm. Nagyon megható volt számomra, hogy a szakma legrangosabb kitüntetését 2025-ben nekem ítélték. Komoly fejtörést okozott számomra, hogy miről is tartsak előadást, hiszen magamról és munkáimról még sohasem kellett beszélnem. Bevezetőmet egy idézettel kezdtem, amelyet Carl William Buehner (1898-1974) német születésű amerikai püspöktől és politikustól kölcsönöztem: „Lehet, hogy elfelejtik, mit mondtál nekik, de soha nem fogják elfelejteni, hogy hogyan érezték magukat szavaidtól.” Csak remélni tudom, hogy valóban így történt, aki pedig elfelejtette, hogy mit mondtam, most el is olvashatja. | In his professional article, István Asztalos presents the most important stages of his career. He began his professional activity at the company Beton- és Vasbetonipari Művek, where he primarily worked on the development and design of reinforced concrete facade panels. He also participated in the introduction of the BVM-TIP construction system in Hungary. During his career, he completed numerous independent product design and product development projects. His professional expertise mainly focused on the engineering design of facade fixing systems for brick- and stone-clad buildings. His work has also included promoting the profession through clear and accessible communication. He founded the professional journal Beton, of which he remains the editor-in-chief to this day. He has given numerous professional lectures, most of them focusing on the application of better and more durable concrete materials. He has also shared this knowledge through many professional publications.
