Abstract

Ez arra tanulmány keresi a választ, hogy a felülről lefelé irányuló oktatási szelekciós nyomás érinti-e az óvodákat Miskolcon. A város oktatáspolitikájának egyik sajátossága, hogy kifejezetten a szelektivitást és a szegregációt erősítő szándékkal alakították ki a beiskolázási körzethatárokat. Az óvodák igazodni kényszerülnek a tankerület, az egyházi fenntartók és az iskolák stratégiáihoz, és minden egyes lényegi döntésük visszavezethető az iskolai stratégiákra, Az általános iskolai szelekció, amely alapvetően a diákok feltételezett teljesítményén alapszik, lehúzódik az óvodai szintre, jóllehet az óvodákban értelmezhetetlen a gyerekek „teljesítménye”. Az előszelekciós folyamat során az óvodák modellálják az iskolarendszer szelektivitását és átveszik az iskolai szelekciós műveletek jelentős részét. A városban az óvodai ingázás, illetve az óvodai szegregáció az általános iskolákkal összevetve is nagyon magas. | This study seeks to answer the question of whether top-down educational selection procedure affects kindergartens in the city of Miskolc. The peculiarity of the city’s educational policy that boundaries of primary school catchment areas were deliberately drawn in such a way as to promote and intensify in between school segregation. Kindergartens are forced to align themselves with the strategies of state and church maintenance and every significant decision they make can be traced back to dominant school strategies. Primary school selection, essentially based of students presumed performance is being extended to kindergarten level even though children’s academic performance is incomprehensible and meaningless at kindergarten level. During the pre-selection process, kindergartens model the selectivity and take over a significant part of school selection. The degree of segregation and commuting rate among preschoolers is very high in the city and their commuting patterns also similar to those of primary schoolchildren.
