Ge study is based on the analysis of the use of this Anglicism in diHerent contexts and its evolution in the Russian language. Ge paper presents the original meaning of the word booster in English, its adaptation and subsequent semantic changes. It identiIes and describes the semantic shiJs that occur in a given word in the context of language dynamics and cultural inKuences. Ge results obtained during the study contribute to a better understanding of the processes through which the meaning and use of English words in the Russian language change as well as their role in the formation of the vocabulary and dynamics of the language.
