Abstract

The topic of this article is the design of a foiling machine for covering elevator doors and their components with protective film. The thesis presents the design process, from the initial parameters and material selec tion through structural design to strength dimensioning and verification, and the selection of the necessary drive motor and worm gear based on the results of the calculations is further explained. The compliance of the elements of the equipment with the strength requirements is verified by finite element testing, taking into account door panels of different sizes and numbers. A detailed flow analysis of the air smoothing of the foiling operation is presented with the help of the Ansys application.
