Abstract

A tanulmány a budapesti Néprajzi Múzeum új épületekbe költözése kapcsán tárgyalja a korszerű múzeumépítészet jellemzőit, az intézmény 150 éves története során a különböző elhelyezési megoldásokat. Ezt követően a Néprajzi Múzeum Gyűjteményi Központban (NMGYK) kialakított, világszínvonalú gyűjteményi raktárak jellemzőit és az állományvédelmi tevékenységnek teret biztosító megoldásokat foglalja össze. A 2022 májusában megnyílt új múzeumi főépületben megvalósuló funkcionális tereket és az elkészült tartalmi elemeket, kiállításokat is tömören ismerteti írásában az intézmény főigazgatójaként dolgozó szerző. | The article addresses features of contemporary museum architecture and the various locations of the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest over its 150 year history, in reference to the moving of the institution into new museum buildings. The article then continues by summarising the characteristics of the world class storage rooms built in the Collection Center and it describes the facilities for conservation work at the Museum of Ethnography. The author, who is also the Director of the museum, gives a concise description of the functional spaces, the content elements and exhibitions to be realised in the brand new main building of the museum that was opened in the spring of 2022.
