Abstract

A tanulmány a Pálnál előforduló megváltásmetafora hagyománytörténeti gyökereit tekinti át, valamint néhány példán bemutatja a kapcsolódó szókészlet árnyalt használatát a szótériológiai mondanivaló szolgálatában. Jézus Krisztus személyének és üdvcselekedetének a megértésében a jelentésképzés és jelentéstulajdonítás mélyfolyamatai, logikája metaforákban tör felszínre, ezáltal lehetővé válik a tapasztalás elbeszélhetővé tétele, továbbhagyományozása. Az őskereszténység krisztológiai metaforákból kirajzolódó Jézus-megértését, Krisztus-tapasztalását a metaforikus krisztológia hermeneutikája őrzi számunkra a Szentírás lapjain. A megértés diverzitása mutatkozik abban, hogy a krisztológiai hitvallások és teológiai magyarázatok különböző aspektusokat emelnek ki Jézus Krisztus személyére és cselekedetére vonatkozóan. Ugyanígy a megfogalmazásokban is tetten érhető, hogy a recepciós folyamatban egy-egy fogalom használatakor csak bizonyos szemantikai jegyek kiemelését látjuk, amelyeknek Jézusra való alkalmazása a fogalom jelentésbővülését eredményezi. A tanulmányban a megváltásmetafora páli használatára tekintünk rá hagyománytörténeti és exegetikai megvilágításban. The study provides an overview of the tradition-historical roots of the redemption metaphor in Paul, and through selected examples, scrutinizes nuances in the use of the related word group that assist in conveying the soteriologicalmessage. In understanding the person of Jesus Christ and his act of salvation, the deep processes and logic of meaning formation and meaning attribution surface in metaphors, thus making it possible to narrate and pass on the experience. The understanding of Jesus and the experience of Christ that emerge from the Christological metaphors of early Christianity are preserved for us in the pages of Scripture through the hermeneutics of metaphorical Christology. The diversity of understanding is evident in the fact that Christological creeds and theological explanations highlight different aspects of the person and work of Jesus Christ. Similarly, the formulations themselves reveal that in the process of reception, the use of a given concept highlights only certain semantic features, and applying these to Jesus results in an expansion of the concept’s meaning. In this study, we examine Paul’s use of the redemption metaphor from a tradition-historical and exegetical perspective.
