Abstract
Changing a pipe system in the soil is a complicated job. Either all the pipes have to be removed from the soil or a new pipe can be guided inside the existing ones. To judge the second possibility, the measurement of the existing pipe is needed. Then, it must be evaluated where to remove the pipe portion from the soil and where to just pull in a new into the old. This paper deals with algorithms allowing to differentiate the pipe portions, and to decide where to open the pipe system.
