Abstract

A kutatások célja az emberi szabadság filozófiai értelmezése volt. A kutatócsoport tagjai önálló kutatásokat folytattak e témakörben, s eredményeiket - folyóiratokban, konferencia-kiadványokban, önálló kötetekben - megjelentették. 2008 őszén Miskolcon konferenciát tartottak, melyen a résztvevők összefoglalták kutatásaik eredményét. A négy éves munka lezárásaként jelenik meg az a kötet, melyben a kutatócsoport tagjainak, s néhány további szerzőnek a sztoikusok, Augustinus, Descartes, Hume, Kant, Husserl, Heidegger, Sartre szabadságfelfogásáról, illetve a tudás és a szabadság kapcsolatáról szóló írásai jelennek meg. | The main endeavour of the research was to explicate the meaning of freedom from the perspective of philosophy. Each members of the research-group studied the abovementioned topic on their own and the results were published in periodicals, proceeding volumes and monographs. There was a conference in 2008 autumn in Miskolc where the members of the research-group summed up their results. As the closing of the project the last volume to be published contains papers by the members of the research-group and contributions by some other colleagues. The writings of the volume concern the notion of freedom by Stoic philosophers, St. August, Descartes, Hume, Kant, Husserl, Heidegger, and Sartre on the one hand, and the relationship of knowledge and freedom, on the other hand.
