Abstract
The aim of the research is to examine Russianisms of Lithuanian language in a corpus collected from posts of Internet forums, by means of gathering and analysing them. In the course of the analysis of lexical Russianisms I examined phonological, morphological and semantic changes, which took place during the adaptation of Russianisms in Lithuanian language, as well as the distribution of Russianisms by word classes, the proportion of Russianisms derived from Russian literary language, slang and spoken language. I have found about 270 lexical units, which – apart from a few exceptions – do not figure in any dictionary, nearly 50% of them not even in the Database of Lithuanian Slang, collected by Vilnius University. It reinforces the presupposition, that Internet forums, just like spoken language, contain a huge quantity of Russianisms. Most of them are related to everyday life, a lot of them denote objects of everyday use. We can also find a significant amount of swear words. Russianisms in Lithuanian language characterise “low” or informal style. Kulcsszavak: litván nyelv, russzicizmusok, internetes fórumok, szókincsréteg, szleng, Keywords: Lithuanian language, Russianisms, internet forums, vocabulary, slang
