    Abstract
In Hungary, the amateur theatre movement is acknowledged to have had a significant tradition within child, student and youth theatre, therefore this paper seeks to answer the question: how is a student theatre group leader-director ‘born,’ how does one become one? What do the words ‘student director,’ ‘student theatre director,’ ‘group leader,’ ‘extracurricular project leader,’ and ‘theatrical workshop leader’ mean?
