Abstract
T he article is concerned with the problem of the study of the text of the Bible as one of the fundamental sources of formation of the Russian conceptual sphere. The Synodal Translation played an important role in the development of the Russian linguistic picture of the world. The article suggests an original philological interpretation of The Synodal Translation. The author is focused on the analysis of the concept of Family in the Russian Synodal Bible looked upon from the point of view of language conceptology. The article is aimed at such audience as specialists in the sphere linguistics and linguadidactics.
