Abstract

A tanulmány a Magyarországon élő cigány kisebbség anyanyelvi nevelésével kapcsolatos kérdéseket tárgyalja egy vizsgálat eredményeinek tükrében. A különböző korosztályokat érintő mikromérés azt a feltételezést igazolta, hogy a vizsgált cigány tanulók nyelvhasználati képességeiket tekintve hátrányban vannak hasonló korú nem cigány származású társaikhoz képest. A nyelvi hátrány kérdése összetett, sokrétű feladat elé állítja a kutatókat, megértéséhez az érintett cigány csoportok nyelvhasználati normáit is ismerni kell. A tanulmány szerzője felhívja a figyelmet arra, hogy a cigány tanulók hátrányának leküzdése, kompenzációja az iskolai nevelési-oktatási folyamat sürgető feladata, mert a lemaradások egyre inkább halmozódnak. | The study discusses questions concerning the first-language teaching of the Roma minority in Hungary. The micro survey has been carried out in different age groups. The findings provide the basis for the present discussion. The results confirm the hypothesis that concerning their language skills Roma students fall behind their non-roma fellow students of the same age. In order to understand the complex issue of language disadvantage, the language norms of the Roma minority have to be explored. The author draws attention to the urgent need in education to compensate and prevent the lingustic disadvantage of the Roma students falling more and more behind their non-roma fellow students.
