Abstract
With the proliferation of computers, mechanical problems arising in mechanical engineering practice can be effectively solved. Among the many numerical methods, the present article reports on the development of the finite element method, its development directions, its application possibilities, the importance of er ror estimation, the requirements supported by the programs and the author'sexperiences, presenting some numerical examples.
