Abstract
The following study examines the possibility of divine richness in liturgy, and its impoverishment despite this richness. It does so at a time when worship is considered by some to be an outdated model, unsuitable for presenting the Christian message. The decline in the number of churchgoers supports this point of view. The author of this article is nevertheless optimistic: liturgy is relevant, since its hope is based on God’s richness. Therefore, those responsible for the liturgy in every age have a mandate not to think in human ideas when it comes to current liturgical renewals, but to take the model of divine richness known from the Holy Scriptures as a basis.
